Why Te Puna?
Te Puna refers to the ‘main source’ of something, or the hub where everything important sits.
Kāi Tahu refer to the lakes and glaciers in Te Waiponamu as kā puna hauaitu, kā puna karikari, kā puna waimārie, all created with Rākaihautu’s digging implement Tūwhakarōria.
In this context, Te Puna identifies the student accommodation portal as a hub for important information, while referencing the physical environment around Ōtepoti / Dunedin, where you will live during your studies.
